I’m pleased to announce that one of my images was placed in the ‘top 50’ in the prestigeous and highly publicised ‘NPC–CIMPOR Develop A New Angle On Concrete’ photographic competition run in South Africa recently.

Inspired by KwaZulu-Natal cityscapes, concrete bridges and a variety of innovative concrete structures, photographers were required to capture images which feature concrete and cement predominantly in their design, whilst also being beautiful, interesting and striking!

With an image that prints at 1.5 metres wide and 600mm high, my black-and-white sunset capture of the Blackburn Bridge on the N2 freeway at Umhlanga Rocks caught the eye of the judges; how cool is that!

All the top 50 final images are on display at the KZNSA Gallery in Bulwer Road, Durban from 02 – 07th November 2010.
