I was out and about last night trying to find a nice way to photograph the new M41 Interchange on the Umhlanga Ridge that services the new Ridgeside Office Park and as the last light of day was fading this beautiful new (multi award-winning) office building by Elphick Proome Architects for Investec in Durban started to sparkle behind me.
“Founded in South Africa in 1974, Investec (a distinctive specialist bank and asset manager) have expanded through a combination of substantial organic growth and a series of strategic acquisitions in South Africa, the United Kingdom and other geographies. In July 2002 Investec became the first South African group to list in London and Johannesburg by implementing a Dual Listed Companies (DLC) structure, benefiting the group by increasing its global profile, enhancing its capital raising ability and improving access to international capital markets.” (Investec website)
It’s a beautiful showcase building, strategically located on the Umhlanga Ridge with amazing views of the Indian Ocean. Another example of inspirational Durban architecture!
