Standing proud on the new Al Raha Beach mega-project, this phenomenal new headquarters building dominates the skyline as you approach Abu Dhabi on the main motorway from Dubai in the UAE. Built bespokely for the project developer ‘Aldar Properties’ this iconic and unique structure has already drawn the attention of both the Discovery Channel and the National Geographic Channel who both have documentaries imminent highlighting the complexities and challenges of building the world’s first circular building in one of the harshest climates on earth where daily temperatures approach 50 degrees Celsius during the summer months.
It has been my pleasure and good fortune to have had the opportunity to photograph and document the construction of this phenomenal building over the last year and a half and it is with immense excitement that everyone looks forward to its final practical completion in early 2010, an event that will symbolise yet another proud and momentous success story for everyone at Aldar Properties and for the people of Abu Dhabi.
